EXALTED RULER'S MESSAGE

I hope everyone who is going back home for the summer has safe travels. For everyone who is staying here, please come down and visit the lodge and see the work being done to the bar area and the dance floor.  We can always use help around the lodge so if you have some time to help, we would be thankful for your time. Happy Fathers’ Day to all the dads this month. I hope everyone has a fun and safe time in June.

Larry White, P.E.R.

HOUSE COMMITTEE MESSAGE

Greetings from the House Committee.

As we roll into summer months, it is a given that things will slow down a bit at the lodge.  Snowbirds are gone, and some of the resident members are vacationing elsewhere.  We are trying hard to schedule events and keep our dinners going.  We certainly understand that folks have things to do and places to go, but please try and make it in for a Friday dinner or the Saturday steak shoot or steak night dinner.  These are the regular events that help support your lodge.

As always, we want to thank our volunteers for their hard work and dedication. Without them, it would be difficult to do any event.  You guys and gals know who you are. Thank you for all you do for the lodge and its members.

We would also like to welcome our new members.  You are coming to the lodge in a time of change -- a new bar is in the works, and an overall makeover to the hall.  Much needed, we may add!  We sincerely hope you make new friends, and enjoy the time spent here.  When it comes time to build the bar and lay the flooring, volunteers are welcome and appreciated.

In closing, again thank you to our awesome volunteers!  For those who are vacationing, or driving, we wish you safe travels and hope to see you back at the lodge very soon

God Bless.
The House Committee

A message from your Leading Knight

Hello everybody!

It’s so nice to be home after such a long trek. I love my bed. Great things are happening at our lodge.
The great hall has been painted just like we promised with the colors that for those that voted got their wish. It looks awesome!
The dance floor has been refinished and will get two coats of non-slip polyurethane. You will not believe that the floor could look so good.
Also, a real nice remote control double fan has been installed in the back bar… nice and cool now.
As you know, we always need help with projects and currently, we are in dire need of help for bartenders. Until we can find reliable help, your help would be greatly appreciated. Call the lodge for more info. 352 799 7148.
We are still accepting donations for the “new bar” project. It’s no longer a dream but a reality. There are still several steps we have to take but we are moving forward.
Stop by the lodge to see all the changes, I think you will be mildly surprised.
In closing, let me remind everybody that we are a volunteer organization and we help many children and our veterans with our efforts. Your help is greatly appreciated.
May God Bless.

Fraternally yours,

Phil Rafferty – E.L.K
